The Ton Up

The ton up uses the word ‘Ton’ which is French for 100. This basically means it consists of 100 different exercises, typically 10 sets of 10 different exercises.

The aim is to perform each of the exercises as fast as possible to develop the anaerobic energy system and recovery rate.
 
For this exercise routine start off by performing star jumps on the sport for 10 seconds.

After 10 seconds perform the first set of exercises on the list and then return to star jumps for another 10 seconds before starting the next exercise.

Repeat until you have completed all of the exercises on the list.
 
The list is as follows:

  • Push ups
  • Sit ups
  • Squat thrusts
  • Dorsal raises
  • Tuck jumps
  • Squats
  • Leg raises
  • Burpees
  • Alternating lunges
  • Clapping pushups
