Boxing Evolution is extremely proud to announce that we have now partnered with Get Berkshire Active who are providing funding for our alternate provision youth service.

Working alongside Community Safety, this 24 month programme, funded by the Police and Crime Commission, aims at supporting young people at risk of entering the criminal justice system to access opportunities in sport and physical activity to create pro social outcomes and positive engagement in RBWM. 

Get Berkshire Active, supported by StreetGames and Community Safety will:

  1. Support the community sport provider networks across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead  to deliver evidence-based interventions.
  1. Provide front-line support to community sport providers to build their capacity, capability, and  sustainability.
  1. Divert young people susceptible to youth offending and violence into sport and physical activity.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

  • AT RISK OF EXCLUSION FROM SCHOOL OR COLLEGE
  • EMOTIONAL RELATED SCHOOL AVOIDANCE
  • INVOLVED IN ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
  • ARRESTED IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS
  • AT RISK OF GANGE RELATED VIOLENCE OR EXPLOITATION
  • ATTENED A & E DUE TO INJURY FROM VIOLENCE OR RISK TAKING BEHAVIOUR
  • CARRIED A KNIFE IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS
  • INVOLVED IN SUBSTANCE MISUSE

MAKING REFERRALS

Initially, referrals will be accepted from professionals within RBWM Children’s Social Care and Community Safety. Moving forwards this will be expanded to organisations working with young people across RBWM.

If you know a young person who this would be suitable for, please get in contact with their school and get them to make a referral that way.
